Pinjarra races 03/08/2023 – Pinjarra races today
RACE.1. COMMENTS.
FEARLESS GOD (2) has needed the two runs this preparation the latest here at this trip. His best figures stand up and racing forward he’s an each-way chance.
BULLS EYE PERFECT (1) peaks on a 7-day return and gives every impression the middle distance will suit this time around. Has a 2kg claim and will likely sit off them and come late.
SECRECY (3) comes out of the same race and was narrowly beaten. Will enjoy a soft run and should see it out.
ARABIAN DREAM (7) is third-up and CJP sticks. Probably has to find too much but can’t be entirely ruled out.
PROPHET AND POWER (4) is a leader and peaks off a close-up finish over the mile. He was overpowered late over this trip prior.
RACE.2. COMMENTS.
Competitive. IRONCLAD BOY (11) trialled well at Lark Hill and then couldn’t have been more impressive when narrowly beaten at Belmont on debut after settling last in a 12-horse field. Draws low today and CJP stays with the Durrant-trained galloper. Fitter and will be hard to roll.
INDIE RULER (1) is quick and missed by a whisker here on resumption. Brought Ascot Open 3 form to that and has placed second-up. The 2kg claimer will use the rail and the gelding has more to give.
STAR POWER (6) has been racing well without winning. Managing the wide gate is the query with her.
BUSTERS FREE (3) resumes and won’t have to be much improved to be a contender.
RACE.3. COMMENTS.
MY BABY BLUE JEAN (5) threatened three times in town before the nose defeat here at this grade/trip. Flies around this circuit and has been briefly freshened. Will be on speed and can go one better.
SQUILLIONARE (6) was first-up and won that race with the market underestimating the Albany form. She will use the rail and won’t have to be much improved to fight out the finish.
MY DILEMMA (2) won a 66 at Ascot before the break and third up this preparation she should be ready to hit her straps. She settles back and a smaller field will help. In the mix.
PRINCE RAGNAR (3) lacked a knockout punch at Belmont but led winning comfortably here first-up in a CL3. Freshened for this and draws low with a handy 3kg claim. Fitter and keep onside.
RACE.4. COMMENTS.
SENSESSIONAL (4) is in a premier barn and was beaten a whisker at Belmont on debut. The low gate advantages and fitter he’ll take plenty of beating.
HYMNS OF ELADDAIR (2) is also in good hands and had been well trialled before his narrow defeat here on debut. Is sure to have come on but managing the wide gate is the key.
ZENIQUE (1) is fast and the latest effort at Belmont stacks up. May control the race and is a player.
CHAMPAGNE STREET (9) was well supported but was cruelled by the wide gate at Belmont on resumption. She’d only been beaten 3L in a rich Listed contest prior and can make quick improvement.
RACE.5. COMMENTS.
LOVA SESSION (10) raced in Listed and Group company over ground before the spell and then placed here first up at 1200m. She draws low and the 1500m is ideal now. Fitter and expect her to be hard to roll.
KISSES FROM KELLY (2) was narrowly beaten twice here before spelling and came back to be narrowly beaten first-up bet an 11-10 favourite. Uses the rail and has more to give. A player.
MAZE MASTER (14) debuted in the same race beaten 2.3L. Cast his off-hind plate and is sure to be better for the outing. In a leading yard and keep safe.
PLAYING RIO (3) has threatened here both starts this preparation and his racing style suggests the longer distance will suit. He’s in the mix.
RACE.6. COMMENTS.
LOOPY’S BABY (6) was disappointing at Belmont two-back but the form around that reads well. Hit the line hard to win the CL1 here 14 days ago and keeps improving. Keeps the small claim and can take the next step.
MAMA TEMBU (5) has had two runs back both in stronger grade at Belmont. She comes back 200m and stripping fitter can show more like her best. She’s good enough.
SIMPLY ROSSO (4) won the Maiden here as expected and is a lightly-raced improver worth consideration. Races forward and Chris Parnham sticking is a positive.
RED CADILLAC (10) missed the placings at Ascot but ran a competitive figure and should be around the mark.
RACE.7. COMMENTS.
FLY AWAY HOME (3) resumes and has raced his last three at Listed level over a mile and longer. He has run some nice races in town at this distance range and gets in well with the 2kg claim. He’s trialled well and no surprise if he’s more forward this time around.
GALAXY CAT (1) placed this grade at Belmont second-up quickly back to her best. Races forward and keeps the 2kg claim. A consistent galloper with claims.
STORM LORD (6) is hard to catch but the near miss here two-back reads well. He will enjoy a soft run from the low barrier and the winkers are applied the first time.
THE COOLAKIN KING (8) won here first up from the front but has been plainer the two since. Has ability and no surprise if he gives a sight.
RACE.8. COMMENTS.
RUNFORROB (4) ran his best race when beaten 1.2L at Belmont first-up. Ran favourite here after but didn’t finish it off. He should be primed today and CJP will give him every chance from the rails gate.
ZOOROPA (5) has finished close-up at Belmont both starts this campaign and they read well. The outside gate has to be managed and that’s the query.
LUCKY’S WAY (6) is in good hands and is better than the numerical form suggests. She’s been around the mark and her best form would see her in the finish.
OH SOPHIA (10) will be better second-up and is a first-four prospect.
