Broome Race Tips 28/07/2023 – Broome race track
RACE.1. COMMENTS.
SIOUX CITY (4) brought a close-up effort at Ascot to resumption and needed the run. Led and won the CL2 comfortably following when bet into even money. He will use the rail and can go right on with it.
SO SWAY (2) won comfortably at York and then resumed from a spell with a win here in this grade. Has to carry more weight and has the front bar plates applied again. That’s not everyone’s cup of tea but he will be fitter and is a quinella hope.
WUHAN WARRIOR (1) brought strong form to the 68 at Derby and placed distantly as an 8-13 favourite. The blinkers come off and a bounce is likely in this grade.
PRINCE SAIYAN (3) also finds easier grade but needs to find a bit more to be winning.
RACE.2. COMMENTS.
ORTUM KRISP (5) found more like her best narrowly beaten two-back and then started a 6-4 favourite over this distance but found a few too good late. Still a Maiden but gets in light again with the 3kg claim and prepared to give her another chance.
AIN’T I A WOMAN (4) hasn’t flattered since the first-up Maiden win. Keeps the small claim and has the blinkers applied again. She may be looking for the longer sprint and will get every chance from the rail.
SPIRITSON (1) brings a comfortable Maiden win over this distance and can build on that.
BLITZ ‘EM HENRY (3) led and made a place in the same race and the lightly-raced gelding will be better for it.
RACE.3. COMMENTS.
GAMBLER’S GOLD (5) was quickly back to his best leading and winning the 58 over 1435m. He tumbles in weight at this level with and with a couple of extra kilos off for the apprentice and will use the rail. He can go on with it.
STAR SOPRANO (6) races handy and won the 58 a month ago after a switch of yards. He has weight some relief and he’s a chance to make the double.
Stablemate SEMIGEL (4) has switched from the top Kalgoorlie barn on a 26-day turnaround. The 1L defeat there two-back reads well and he also sits down in the weights. First run here and that’s the query.
PIT TO WIN (2) has a 2kg claim and may be the next best.
RACE.4. COMMENTS.
TOPPA THE MOUNTAIN (3) raced mostly in town last preparation and resumed here with an emphatic win over 1000m at this level. Has had trouble running out a strong 1200m previously but he’s improved and is suited around this circuit.
HERE NO CASH (1) delivered the Maiden win as expected and then things didn’t work out at all in the CL1. Fitter again and the blinkers go on again. The small claim is handy and expect a better effort.
VICCY HAS SPOKEN (4) belted the Maidens first up having switched yards. This is harder but fitter she’s in the mix.
SONG CYCLE (5) has rough place claims in the small field.
RACE.5. COMMENTS.
UNO ME (3) disappointed here as favourite 12 days ago of a win and close-up effort and may appreciate the lift to the mile this time around. Risks getting being bottled up from the rail and that will need to be managed.
HOOLAHOOPS (5) peaks and will be better suited back 200m to this distance. Finds it hard to win but has the figure to feature if things go her way.
FINAL PLAN (2) missed a nose in the same race missing the hat-trick. Hits this at peak and is sure to be fancied.
NITRO LAD (6) was never a hope here 12 days ago but has plenty of weight relief and the Maiden win at Port Hedland prior would see him get some of the minor cash.
RACE.6. COMMENTS.
TRUE ATTRACTION (1) brought strong city form and was much too good here first-up for the 70 graders. Two-back he led beaten 1.5L at Ascot over this distance and this is a very winnable target.
KORANIS (5) has been plainer since the easy 58 win at the mile. Raced a 6-4 favourite at Derby over this distance 6 days ago running into a well-beaten placing. He might be worth another chance.
POWERFUL (2) had been threatening over sprints and then disappointed up to the mile. The extra 200m is some query but he gets in well with the 3kg claim.
Stablemate OMBUDSMAN (3) placed in the same race and he will be better for that and can’t be ruled out.
RACE.7. COMMENTS.
DIVINE QUEST (10) switched yards and had her first run here and didn’t get into it from an outside gate. She brought some pretty handy Ascot and Belmont form to that and is ready for the middle distance. Draws handy today and keeps the 2kg claim. Worth a spec at odds.
ROCKING THE MERC (2) runs along and seeks the hat-trick off the mile win in a CL2. He also races at this distance for the first time and running it right out is the query.
Stablemate FREQUENT FRIAR (5) comes out of the same race beaten 2.5L. He’s failed at Albany over 1900m but is in the mix.
JIMMY’S SECRET (7) is third-up and has placed 2/4 at this distance. Has a 4kg claim but as with the above it’s been a long time between drinks.
